East St. Louis, Illinois — October 19, 2026. Ghostlines Studios and its digital radio division, Ghostlines Network Radio (GNR), are advancing an Africa–U.S. independent music discovery initiative with HOTNEWAFRO.

Following an October 19 meeting involving HOTNEWAFRO representative Paul Fashanu, the organizations agreed in principle to explore a first pilot batch of independent-artist music submissions. HOTNEWAFRO is preparing potential artist and recording information for review by GNR.

GNR will evaluate submitted recordings for programming fit, audio quality, song metadata and appropriate artist or rightsholder permissions. Any airplay would depend on individual approval and confirmed scheduling; submissions do not guarantee broadcast placement.

The teams may also explore editorial features and mutually approved, organic cross-promotion to help independent artists reach listeners across Africa and the United States.

Collaboration status: This is an early-stage submission pilot agreed in principle, not a signed commercial partnership. No guaranteed radio spins, licensing agreement or financial commitment is being announced.
